High Point Country Club is excited to welcome its new Head Pickleball and Racquets Teaching Professional, Freddie Powell. Raised in the UK, this accomplished athlete came to the U.S. to play college tennis at Drake University, where they were introduced to pickleball. After bringing the sport back to the UK and becoming one of Europe’s top players, they are now looking to further their career by competing in the U.S. At High Point Country Club, Freddie will be adding a variety of events to the pickleball calendar each week, offering both private and group lessons. Whether for game-day coaching or introducing new players to the sport, these lessons provide an excellent opportunity for members to enhance their skills. In addition to pickleball, he will also be assisting with tennis clinics and private lessons. Members are encouraged to introduce themselves and take advantage of this exciting new addition to the club.
